One response to “Speaker of the House, Hawaii, Scott Saiki: “UH should NO LONGER manage Mauna Kea.”

  1. I believe that the native Hawaiians should be in charge of Mauna Kea as a sacred site. A seat at the table seems like taking the whole house and then giving back a closet in the house. As a native Hawaiian, I am wary of this process that does not provide us with a majority vote on what happens to our sacred land. The governing body should be made up of native Hawaiians with a stake in conserving and protecting our land without the influence of outside groups.
