BREAKING NEWS RECEIVED AT 4:21PM AND CONFIRMED BY A PARTY TO THE RE-PERMITTING CASE:
RICHARD NAlWlEHA WURDEMAN issues a Notice of Withdrawal of Counsel.
Shortly after submitting a detailed, and largely compelling motion for reconsideration of removal of Hearings Officer (HO) Ricky Amano, Wurdeman submitted a formal Notice of Withdrawal of Counsel.
The reason for leaving is not known at this time. We do not want to speculate further.
Wurdeman is the attorney for Petitioners MAUNA KEA ANAINA HOU and KEALOHA PISCIOTTA; CLARENCE KUKAUAKAHI CHING; FLORES-CASE OHANA; DEBORAH J. WARD; PAUL K. NEVES; AND KAHEA: THE HAWAIIAN ENVIRONMENTAL ALLIANCE, a domestic non-profit Corporation.
Wurdeman was representing the above said parties when the Supreme Court Case ruled in the favor of Mauna Kea defenders and consequently the fraudulent permit for the Thirty Meter Telescope, was REMANDED.
The above named parties, and a couple of dozen other parties, have a vested legal interest in the summit regions and have been party to this current contested hearing in which the TMT is arrogantly attempting to obtain a “legal” permit.
Thus far at least some parties have described this contested hearing as a fraud and deprival of Due-Process, the same constitutionally protected Due-Process the Hawaii Supreme Court ruled on, against the TMT.
The Notice of Withdrawal of Counsel submitted to parties through e-mail at 4:21pm states the following:
“Effective immediately, and pursuant to the Notice of Withdrawal of Counsel for the Petitioners Mauna Kea Anaina Hou and Kealoha Pisciotta, Clarence Kukauakahi”
