For those that cannot physically be on the Mauna this is one way you can meaningfully and profoundly kokua.
Sacred Mauna Kea Hui is verified and accountable as Lanakila, David, Hualalai and many others have clarified succinctly many times over despite the unfounded doubts of some disparagingly mistaken individuals who can easily verify information at these links among others:
Among the 12 arrested, a Kahunaaina, my hoahanau o ka iewe hookahi and long time Sacred Mauna Kea Hui Member and supporter Kawikalahela Hassard is a hero among heroes and faced arrest and depravation of freedom at the hands of the ethnocidal regime belligerently and forcefully occupying our Lahui and plundering stolen lands that multi-ethnic Hawaiian Kingdom descendants legally own in perpetuity UNDIVIDED.
There were said to be an estimated 750-1000 protecting the Mauna on 6/24/15 when protectors successfully turned back would-be desecration from the TMT project construction team.
Ige, in his latest statement, has announced his intent to do whatever it takes to forward construction despite the fact that the Hawaii Supreme Court has a case scheduled on August 24th validly questioning legalities that could potentially reaffirm that the TMT project is not at all in compliance with law as Ige has so erroneously claimed.
Sacred Mauna Kea Hui has aloha for Ige because we know he has the capacity to do the right thing instead, and believe that the law must be afforded the good will of the Governor, developers and investors to allow the process of law to run its course in all good faith before doing irreparable damage to our Sacred Summit. To start construction before this is unethical and unjust.
It is the Governors mandate when he took the oath of office, to uphold the Hawaii Revised Statutes, the defacto law of this occupation of Hawaii. The least he could do is show his due diligence to uphold the law by allowing the Supreme Court to have its process.
Help us bring 7,500 up if Ige decides to ignore his responsibility to uphold his oath and practice due diligence by showing good faith in the law he swore to uphold.
It is our kuleana to hold law makers and enforcers accountable when the system is so broken that it fails to. It is your civic duty.
Please help us continue to afford the costly logistics and well-documented expenditures that it takes to exponentially increase and fortify the protection of OUR Sacred Mauna.
It is the basic foundational responsibility of the people to hold government accountable through civil disobedience when the Government is acting against the majority as a dictator instead, with ambivalence to the will of its people.
JUSTICE CANNOT SLEEP FOREVER.
