The TMT International Observatory Board released a statement saying construction on the controversial Thirty Meter Telescope will begin again after being put on hold for the past two months.

CONSTRUCTION TO RESTART ON THE THIRTY METER TELESCOPE ATOP MAUNA KEA. THE TMT INTERNATIONAL OBSERVATORY BOARD RELEASED A STATEMENT THIS EVENING THAT CONSTRUCTION ON THE CONTROVERSIAL 30 METER TELESCOPE WOULD RESUME AFTER A TWO MONTH WORK STOPPAGE. WE CONTACTED THE PUBLIC RELATIONS FIRM THAT ISSUED THE ANNOUNCEMENT BUT WAS TOLD NO ONE WAS AVAILABLE TO COMMENT FURTHER. THOSE WHO OPPOSE THE TELESCOPE WERE MORE THAN WILLING TO VOICE THEIR OPINION AFTER HEARING THE NEWS.
